Transparency & End of Life
TRANSPARENCY
You deserve to know what’s in your clothing.
That’s why we’ve taken a radical approach to expose details the industry often overlooks.
With regard to material transparency, we go beyond fabrics to provide a breakdown of each and every component in our garments: from thread and fusings to elastic and fasteners.
We also keep our supply chain community closer than most, making weekly visits to maintain relationships, overseeing quality control, collaborating for sustainable innovation, and monitoring human welfare.
END OF LIFE
Every second, the equivalent of one garbage truck of textiles is landfilled or burned, while over 100 million tons of secondhand clothing is destined to countries like Chile and Ghana each year, transforming deserts into dumps, invading beaches, polluting waterways, and killing wildlife.
We can do better.
At Nazeerah, we believe that by examining a product’s end of life upon creation, our clothing can be given new potential, one that nourishes the land, water, air, and Earth, instead of poisoning them.
Instead we work with land stewards who cultivate the finest natural materials with beneficial properties for nature and our climate. Additionally, we use natural fabrics of a single or dual-fiber blend which are inherently biodegradable or can be recycled into new textiles.
When the industry did not offer materials that met our standards, we innovated. Working hand-in-hand with supply partners, we’ve developed new techniques that have brought us even closer to our goal of soil-to-soil circularity. While challenges along this journey have prohibited 100% biodegradability, we continue to work thoughtfully to meet this objective.
